Dr. Steven Henslee is a board certified ophthalmologist who has practiced in Columbus, Georgia since 1988. Dr. Henslee graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in microbiology. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed an internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He did his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Dean A. McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City and was chief resident in 1983.
Dr. Henslee was proud to serve in the U.S. Air Force where he was head of the Department of Ophthalmology at Pease Air Force Base, New Hampshire and Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. In addition to practicing ophthalmology, Dr. Henslee was a flight surgeon.
Dr. Henslee has decades of experience practicing comprehensive ophthalmology and has a special interest in cataract surgery with an emphasis on state of the art intraocular lenses (multifocal, toric, aspheric and other premium IOLs). He also specializes in laser surgery for glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration.
Dr. Henslee is the director of Hubbard-Henslee Center for Eye Surgery. He is an eye surgeon who embraces the latest technology while cherishing the doctor patient relationship. Dr. Henslee is happily married to Robbin and they have two children, Jackson and Kathleen. He enjoys baseball, golf, fly fishing, white water rafting, snow skiing and scouting.
Dr. Casey Geringer is fellowship trained in the medical and surgical care of glaucoma. Dr. Geringer also practices comprehensive ophthalmology, including evaluating and treating cataracts, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and eyelid disorders.
Dr. Geringer is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where she served as chief resident in her senior year. She also completed a one-year glaucoma fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, treating not only glaucoma but also performing complex cataract surgeries.
Dr. Geringer received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska. She completed medical school at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, where she graduated in the top of her class.
She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She has published a chapter on the medical treatment of glaucoma in International Ophthalmology Clinics.
Dr. Geringer is married to Ryan Geringer, an orthopedic surgeon at Hughston Clinic. They have three children. Dr. Geringer enjoys spending time with her family, golfing, reading, and being outdoors.
